Jose Mourinho insists both Juan Mata and David Luiz are ‘very important’ to his plans at Chelsea, despite rumours linking the pair with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Luiz’s impressive performances for Brazil en route to their Confederations Cup victory have seen the defender targeted by the likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, while Mata was rumoured to have been offered to Manchester United in part-exchange for Wayne Rooney this week.
Both players are still away on holiday following their participation in the Confederations Cup, but despite the on-going speculation surrounding two of the Blues’ most exciting performers last season, Mourinho insists the pair know their importance to his plans.
